globus-build-service Features PDF Print E-mail
globus-build-service includes an Ant buildfile and script that greatly simplifies building Grid Services (in GT3) and stateful WSRF Web services (in GT4), as long as a specific directory structure is followed (see Documentation). The build script currently goes as far as generating a valid GAR file ready for deployment.

The GT3 version of the GSBT bundle can be considered stable. It includes a BASH script (tested on GNU/Linux) and a Python script (tested on Windows and several UNIX systems).

The GT4 version of the GSBT bundle is fully functional, but should be approached as alpha code. It only includes a BASH script (tested on GNU/Linux).

NOTE: This first release of globus-build-service includes the same build script and Ant buildfile (with some minor improvements) included with The GT3 Tutorial (0.4.2) and The GT4 Tutorial (0.0.5). So, if you have already read the tutorial, take into account that globus-build-service doesn't currently add anything new with respect to the build files included in the tutorial.
