Contribute PDF Print E-mail

There are many ways you can contribute to the project!

Try out the tools and send your feedback!

Don't wait for the stable release! You can help out a lot simply by downloading the tools and giving them a try. Did you bump into any nasty bugs? We sure want to hear about them! Got a suggestion on how the tools could be easier to use? Let us know right away! You think the tools are fine, but would really like to see a particular feature included in the future? We can't guarantee anything, but we'll certainly give it a thought (or two)!

You can submit your bug reports here and your feature requests here

Did you use the build script + Ant build file back when it was only included in the GT3/GT4 Tutorial? Did you make any improvements? Contribute them to the project!

The build script and Ant build file that are part of the GSBT project were originally included only in the GT3/GT4 Tutorial. Even though they were mainly intended for the tutorial examples, many people used them for their own personal projects. A couple people improved the script and build file so they would suit their needs, and then submitted those changes to the author of the tutorial. If you added improvements to the script and build file (or even programmed a version in a different programming language), but never got around to sending them to the author of the tutorial, let us know. It's quite possible that other people will be able to benefit from your changes (however small they might be) to the script and build file.

Become a developer!

This project is open source (released under a BSD license) and, in the spirit of open source, we welcome the participation of anyone willing to lend a hand. If you're interested in being a developer, please contact the project manager, Borja Sotomayor, at the following address: borja AT borjanet DOT com. Make sure you mention how you would like to help out. Here are some possibilities:

  • Coding an anticipated feature (see Wishlist page)
  • Proposing a new feature
  • Bug-hunting in the code
  • Documentation
  • Etc.
